NESO Electricity Markets Advisory Council (EMAC)
NESO has a central role today in GB energy market design. At a holistic level, the EMAC helps NESO set our direction for market reform, both in our own balancing services and in our advice and positions on wider GB energy market and policy reform.
The EMAC acts as an independent body, comprising members with a wide range of expertise who collectively represent the views and interests across the electricity industry, with a deliberate focus on electricity markets.
The group is made up of experts from all parts of the electricity value chain including networks, generators, flexibility providers and academia.
