A new EMR Portal was implemented for the Capacity Market in June 2024 and is now used to manage all CM processes with the exception of the CM Auction which will continue to run in the existing CM Auction system.
The EMR DB New Portal aims to streamline transactions, improve guidance and provide personalised customer journeys for the Capacity Market participant. The New DB portal replaces an ageing legacy system, simplifying processes and improving the end user experience.
Following implementation, we will work with customers to make continuous improvements, based on feedback in using the system against operational processes.
Since the the new portal was implemented in June 2024, we have moved into the continuous improvement phase which includes implementation of Rule and Regulatory changes.
We will hold regular checkpoints to take direct feedback from customers and Delivery Partners at key business process steps in the operational plan to shape the future of our services.
Continuing to collaborate with our dedicated user group is essential for ensuring the ongoing success and improvement of our portal. By maintaining this partnership, we can continue to gather real-time feedback, identify areas for enhancements, and prioritise features that will provide the most value to users.
The EMR Delivery Body Customer Portal Road Map helps visualise the activities planned in the remainder of Financial Year 2025 (01 April 2024 - 31 March 2025).
The EMR DB New Portal User Group has played an important role in supporting the development of features within the New Portal. Valuable feedback, insights, and testing has helped shape the New Portal to meet the needs and expectations of our customers. Through active participation and collaboration, we have been able to identify and address potential issues, enhance user experience, and ensure that the New Portal is intuitive and user-friendly.

We would encourage anyone interested to join our User Group dedicated to enhancing the experience with the Portal. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with us providing valuable feedback and insights which will help support prioritisation of enhancements ensuring that we meet your needs effectively.

Familiarisation window - 18 March 2024 to 5 April 2024
The EMR DB are encouraging customers to register interest in participating in full end-to-end familiarisation window. This will allow you to get direct, hands-on experience with Capacity Market processes in the new EMR DB Portal before full functionality is released and provide us with valuable feedback for improvements.
We intend to offer end-to-end familiarisation of the Capacity Market process on the new Portal, including: prequalification, disputes, pre-auction activities, auction results (CANs) and agreement management activities. Our dates for the end-to-end familiarisation window are 18 March 2024 to 5 April 2024.
