Regional Breakdown of our FES 2025 Data

We believe that there are aspects of decarbonising the whole energy system that are driven mainly by local factors.

These cannot be fully understood using only a top-down assessment framework and we are increasingly focusing on more granular regional outputs. The map tools below are intended to help visualise some of these outputs from our data workbook.

Our Regional Energy Strategic Planning teams are developing tailored, local pathways that show how the energy system may evolve within an area. An initial view of these pathways will be available later in 2025.

Thanks to our collaborators and open data sources for making this visual possible.
