Join our Strategic Spatial Energy Plan Expert Advisory Group

Team working together on a table

As a fundamental part of our strategic energy planning work, we’ve established a robust governance structure to support its development through engagement, environmental assessment and assurance. An Expert Advisory Group (EAG) has been founded within this governance structure and we have two exciting opportunities for you to join the advisory forum.

What is the Expert Advisory Group?

The EAG is made up of our external stakeholder partners who will provide strategic direction and advice on wider sectoral demands on land and sea. This group’s role is advisory, but the technical insights, advice and challenge drawn from this group will be used to inform development of the Strategic Spatial Energy Plan (SSEP).

What are we looking for?

We’re looking to appoint an Independent Chair to lead the group, plus at least two more group members with wider perspectives who can bring valuable cross-cutting insights to the debate.

If you are interested in how the energy system will be developed, with a particular focus on our new SSEP role, view the role outlines for more detail on the skills and experience we’re looking to bring to the group.
