Whether you're a new startup, a scaling business, or an imaginative thinker, we want to hear your innovative ideas that push boundaries and reshape the way we think about what’s possible to achieve a secure, affordable and zero carbon future for GB.
Strategic focus for innovation
To drive meaningful change, we are concentrating on five strategic priorities outlined in our Innovation Strategy. We have identified specific challenge statements for three of these priorities, which include:
- Unlocking Demand-Side Flexibility
- Optimising Network Capacity: How we can increase the visibility in real time of the whole network and ensure the most efficient use of its available capacity.
- Leverage Digitalisation and AI: We want to know how we can improve situational awareness in the control room through enhancing our visualisation tools and explore how to implement probabilistic decision-making across various time frames and aspects.
- Safeguard System Security and Resilience
- Drive Whole-System Integration: How we can help improve alignment and data sharing across different energy vectors.
