This December, NESO teams turned festive spirit into action, supporting schools, charities, and food banks at its largest sites in Wokingham and Warwick, as well as across Great Britain.
During their annual winter team-building day, participants in NESO’s Early Career schemes took on a series of challenges to support Helping Hands, a local Warwickshire charity.
The points earned through completing these challenges were converted into credits used to purchase items for hampers filled with essential items for people facing hardship.
Helping Hands will distribute the hampers to those most in need over the festive period.

On 9 December, three Strategic Energy Planning colleagues spent the morning volunteering with Langar Aid Coventry, preparing and delivering food packages for individuals and families experiencing food poverty.
They also launched a food donation initiative at the Warwick office to support the Warwick District Foodbank.
As part of this initiative, the team came together for the day to donate 61 kg of household essentials and food items, which were collected by the Foodbank and distributed to those most in need.

The NESO Early Careers team and Faith at Work Employee Resource Group welcomed the Addington Specialist Educational School choir to their Wokingham office for a heartwarming ‘sing and sign’ carol performance.
Addington is a valued partner of NESO’s Early Careers EmployAbility Supported Internship programme, reflecting NESO’s commitment to belonging, inclusion and reducing the disability employment gap.
The event raised £1,003 to help students develop the skills they need to gain a competitive edge in the job market.
It’s fantastic to see NESO colleagues out in their communities supporting these great causes during the festive season. We’re proud to be supporting initiatives that promote inclusion and belonging while providing vital support to families experiencing hardship.
