Speaking afterwards, Kayte O’Neill said:

‘’I’m so pleased to speak tonight and to celebrate the achievements of young energy professionals from right across the sector, including my fantastic NESO colleagues.

At NESO we are committed to the next generation. Fostering growth, innovation and belonging, fresh perspectives, new skills and diverse thought as we do.

The YEP Forum helps us with all of this. We are delighted to extend our sponsorship and continue our investment in the next generation of future energy leaders – and the future of the energy transition.’’

Dhara Vyas, Energy UK’s CEO, said:

“It’s a pleasure to welcome NESO back as the 2026 sponsor of the YEP Forum – for a second year in a row! This ongoing support for exciting new talent in our industry is vital to the success of the UK's transition to a clean and secure future energy system.

“Businesses across the sector are all focused on delivering high-quality jobs and skills for their teams. The YEP Forum is a crucial part of those efforts, connecting colleagues across the country and supporting people in the early stages of their energy careers.

“NESO is a great example of an organisation committed to the same mission, and I can’t wait to continue our work together over the coming year.”

Connor Innes, Chair of the YEP Forum, said:

“NESO’s ongoing support is essential for ensuring the YEP Forum can continue to deliver a range of free events and resources throughout the year. This provides a level playing field for professionals from all backgrounds across the country, allowing them to learn, connect and progress in the energy sector.”
