John Crackett joins NESO as new Non-Executive Director

We’re delighted to announce that John Crackett will be joining our Board as a Non-Executive Director on 1 July 2025. John will also be joining our Operational Effectiveness and Resilience Committee, supporting the Board with oversight of our operational activities.
John is a chartered electrical and mechanical engineer with extensive experience in electricity generation, distribution and energy services businesses. He was formerly the Managing Director of Central Networks and has been a Non-Executive Director of the Office of Nuclear Regulation and of Ofgem, where he chaired the network price review committee.
In his military career, he was responsible for a policy and strategy branch in the Ministry of Defence and was a member of the Executive Committee of the Army Board. He chairs a grant-making charity and is also involved in veterans and housing charities in the West Midlands.
