Building Heat Model Excel tool

This macro-enabled Excel workbook contains the model which calculates a building’s heat requirements based on the heating system, heat loss of the building, weather conditions, and the occupants’ thermostat preference. The model supports ASHP (A2W & A2A), GSHP, electric boilers, and gas boilers (DHW via combi/on‑demand or cylinder/tank systems). The indoor temperature, thermal mass temperature, and radiator temperature are simulated at 1-minute intervals for a 24-hour period, evolving in accordance with their heat capacities and heat transfers. The resulting heating & DHW demand is aggregated half-hourly.
