The Nations and Regions Contexts are the foundation for the development of each RESP.
It will give a comprehensive, long-term and whole system view of the overarching conditions and priorities in Scotland, Wales and the nine English regions.
NESO will develop this Context for each nation and region using both public data and information provided to us by customers and stakeholders.
The Nations and Regions Contexts will help guide the evolution of the energy system.
For stakeholders, it will provide clarity and direction, highlight local challenges and provide timely signals to supply chains. It could also act as a reference point to inform national plans, including but not limited to, the Strategic Spatial Energy Plan (SSEP).
