DESCRIPTION:In September 2023, following an open letter from the Electricity Storage Network (ESN), we engaged with LCP Delta to start an independent analysis to address market participants’ concerns around the level of “skip rates” perceived to occur in the Balancing Mechanism (BM).The LCP Delta methodology presented during the webinar is a strong foundation for how we track and report on skip rates which we will be building on at the end of November with a new NESO despatch efficiency dataset release. This webinar is only part of the ongoing work on storage assets and transparency in our actions.
