CSNP methodology consultation

This document sets out an overview of the methodology we will be following to carry out the Centralised Strategic Network Plan (CSNP). The consultation will run from 30 June and close at 17:00 on Friday 1 August 2025. Once closed, we will analyse and consider feedback to update the methodology where appropriate.

North Hyde Review

NESO publishes its final report from the review into the North Hyde Substation outage which took place on 20 March and led to the closure of Heathrow Airport. 

The final report presents the root cause of the incident, explains why the power outage occurred, and provides recommendations for improving the resilience of essential services, including Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), to energy disruption in the future.
